My outrageous Excel bill......

I live in a one bedroom apartment , about 700 square feet and my Excel bill tripled this month. I wasn't even home the first two weeks of February. There is NO WAY that much electricity was used when no one was home. I live by myself as well. Some one needs to figure out what is going on with Excel. They are charging fraudulent charges.....

Outrageous Overbilling for Electrical Services

My Xcel Electricity billing for electrical service in January-February (1-15-2026 to 2-17-2026) quadrupled over the amount I was billed for December-January (12-15-2025 to 1-15-2026) service. I was away from home during the January-February billing period. With the exception of a couple of LED lights and the refrigerator all electrical appliances were disconnected. The washer, dryer, microwave, and electric stove were not used at all during this period, yet Xcel claims that I used FOUR TIMES more electricity in January-February than I used in December-January. Dear Public Utilities Commission,I am writing to formally request an investigation into what appears to be a gross overbilling of my electrical service by Xcel Energy for the billing period January 15, 2026, to February 17, 2026.During this period, my bill quadrupled compared to the prior billing cycle of December 15, 2025, to January 15, 2026.
