Arvada Outage near Campbell and Oak Park

I am writing to express my concern regarding Xcel Energy's extremely disappointing reliability in Arvada. In the last 3 years, we've lost power more times than than in the preceding 3 decades! And this year is on track to be the worst yet - we're on track to lose power nearly every month! This is extremely disruptive for our family - without power we cannot conduct business, cool the house, wash clothes, watch movies, or even prepare food! Xcel energy must be held accountable for its terrible track record on delivering essential utilities.

Xcel's Smart Meter Isn't So Smart

Xcel replaced my electric meter with one of their smart meters back in late March, and since that change, my electric bill no longer credits me for any of my solar exports, despite me exporting way more than I import during the summer months. I've called Xcel multiple times and they keep saying there is nothing wrong, but they cannot give a coherent answer as to why they believe that to be the case. All they want to do is get me off the phone and close the ticket.

My gas meter was 'upgraded' to another meter (not a smart meter) when I was out of town. My house sitter called me and told me we had no hot water for showers, and the stove wasn't working. It turns out that this is Xcel's policy--no prior notification--even people who aren't out of town can return from work after 5 and find out they are without service, with no prior warning.
