Excel Power Out of April 6 -7-8

We lost our power the evening of April 7th. The Saturday of April 7th I prepped meals for more Than 4 hours, cleaning, peeling chopping as well as cooking and putting food away after prep in refrigerator. If we would have known we were going to lose power, I could have chosen to either not prep or thaw the product I used and could have frozen everything.

We ended up dumping chicken dishes, chile, milk, etc that was not safe to eat once power was restored. We never opened the refrigerator as we did not want to use all of the condiments. We expected our power to be restored that day as 3 homes in our cul de sac had power.

We were told our power would be restored at 7:45 Sunday evening. The next day I checked the outage map for an update and it said our power was restored and it was not And the neighbor next to us had no power either.

i called Excel 5 times on Monday. They told me to check the map for updates. The map still said mid afternoon we had power. My last call to Excel that day was around 5:pm. I was told our poer would not be restored until Wednesday 11:30PM. It was however restored that evening around 6:15.

We went to restaurants to eat, charge phones and get warm Sunday thru Monday night. Not happy about the huge waste and expense on top of the huge increases we pay for electricity.
