The story of trying to opt out of the new meters

I just received another letter stating I had to make an appointment with a new contractor within five days. We have been trying to tell Xcrll we have 2 meters because we are with solar panels and a program that is now administered by Tesla. We have told them that we want to opt out of the smart meters. We sent a fax mail letter stating that we would pay the monthly fee and we did not want their smart meter. We have had a contractor show up with the non-smart meter but only have one and needed to have two in order to put one on our solar panels. We had another contractor show up and he had the smart meter which was the wrong meter and no back up 2nd meter. I have called and made several complaints. I have been referred to the contractor to have them make an appointment, but once I explain that we have 2 m and solar, they pass me on to another contractor. I believe they just keep on doing this because they think they’ll wear us down and we let them put their new smart meter in. Meanwhile, their letters have no way of contacting anybody in Excel. They don’t want to be a part of the conversation. A public utility should be available to the public.
