Wheelchairs for grocery stores and retail stores

I’ma host home provider does a developmentally disabled client. She is able to walk but is oxygen dependent. She is not able to walk long distances and gets tired easily. My client does not have alone time anymore, this becomes an issue when I need to go grocery shopping for the whole week. She is so tired by the end of the shopping trip. Having wheelchairs that are motorized are great for people that know how to drive. But what does a person do when they are the caregiver I need a push wheelchair? Push the person in a wheelchair and a cart at the same time having a grocery cart that has a basket readily available that can hold a weeks worth of groceries would be extremely helpful for the clients and for the caregiver. I’m well aware that this is not technically an outdoor need, but it is a need. Some department stores do have the push wheelchairs with a small basket which is proven to be very helpful. Thank you for your time. Sarah Norton-Kohn
