The UNNECESSARY Power Shutdown in Boulder

What Xcel did is UNACCEPTABLE and must NEVER happen again

General Complaints

1) We have had over 100mph winds since the beginning of time and never shut the power down before -- Why now ?

2) Those that say, "I felt safer" should keep their power OFF forever as a lightning strike can cause a electrical fire/other fire at any time.

3) To turn off power for 3 days and inconvenience thousands of people is UNNECESSARY. There are easy engineering solutions to make poles, lines and the grid more safe. Charge us the $1 or $2 fee extra/month to upgrade all equipment so it can withstand winds.

4) Many people lost refrigerators full of food over this not to mention having no use for the property they own/rent. Are they going to be reimbursed for their losses ????

5) For those that feel scared, they should EVACUATE and NOT inconvenience Tens of Thousands of other people.

Specific Complaints at Excel

7) You could have turned the power back on at 5AM the next day as there was NO wind. What took you so long ?

8) You keep changing the time of when it would be back on - Fix that.
